Carla Itzkowich The President and founder of International Contact, Inc. has extensive experience managing product launches in the Anglo, Asian and Hispanic domestic markets. Being multilingual, she understands first-hand the problems of communicating in different languages. She has produced television programs, commercials and training programs in print, sound and video for clients such as Apple Computer, Bank of America, Brøderbund, Chevron, Citicorp, DDB Needham, Microsoft and Sprint among many others. Under her supervision, for the past 25 years the Company has produced hundreds of video adaptations, radio and TV commercials, web sites, dozens CD-ROMS and thousands of print pages every year in more than 50 languages.
Norma Armon Ph.D. Dr. Armon’s doctorate in Spanish Language and Literature is from the National University of Mexico (UNAM) and her DES in English Language and Literature from Cambridge University. This ensures the profound knowledge of both languages required to evaluate other people’s fluency. In addition, Dr. Armon has impressive credentials in the advertising and marketing world as producer, copywriter, editor and translator working in print, radio, film and television. She has served as Spanish consultant to a number of major corporations including Chrysler and Carl's Jr. and several political organizations. Her television credits include producer/writer for "La Mujer Ahora", a daily live TV program on Channel 2, Mexico City, and "Mundo Latino" a daily live TV magazine show on Spanish International Network. She is the author of a number of books on linguistics and, together with Carla Itzkowich and Jon Golding, the Guide to Producing Localized Multimedia for Apple Computer.
Cipriano Castilla "Cip" brings to International Contact a BS degree in language communications and eight years of professional broadcast experience in Mexico, prior to joining International Contact in 1985. As senior translator and editor, and primary evaluator of translating applicants for over 20 years, Cip’s credits include radio programs, commercials and corporate image programs for clients such as Bank of America, the City of San Jose, Orchard Hardware and Toyota among many others. He also leads seminars in Talent Training sharing his expertise in lip synchronization techniques for dialogue replacement in foreign languages. Cip is responsible for consistency in translated terminology and communication standards. He manages glossaries and definitions to incorporate regional differences in language interpretation among Hispanic groups.
Jennifer Lui After leaving Apple Taiwan as Marketing Specialist in 1993, Jennifer has dedicated herself to translation and editing since 1994. She specializes in developing translation standards for a variety of fields such as computer, banking, medical and public utilities. For the last few years, she has concentrated on large governmental institution projects, including localization for web pages, manuals, contracts/agreements and public service documents.
